VSO organization based in Voi, over the weekend had a successful empowerment session at the CIT grounds. It kicked off at 8.00am featuring various speakers and activities.
The theme for the day was ENTRERENEURSHIP AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT.
One of the guest speakers i.e. James Ndung’u from I chose life Africa urged the youth on optimism and focus on making the right decisions on daily bases
Mr. Richard Kibengo the chief guest at the event, and in his capacity as the county director, ministry of Trade and community affairs, shed more light on various opportunities that the county had to offer for the young people.
Before the interactive session, various organization heads and representatives had chances to tell the crowd more about what they do. Among them were the JoyWo TAITA TAVETA COUNTY Manager, Biashara centers, Roberto Mwashashu, Sote HUB’s Harry Mwailengo and much more
Present at the venues was the registrar of COAST INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY who gave his closing remarks before the break into groups where further discussions were carried on topics such as Job interview skills, CV writing and Applications, Securing scholarships etc.
